Grant back for Berwick
Berwick will have on-loan goalkeeper Paul Grant back in action against Montrose after parent club Hibernian refused to let him play in the Borderers' William Hill Scottish Cup win over Culter on Saturday.
Billy Bald is unavailable due to a leg infection and goalkeeping coach Gary O'Connor will drop to the bench after playing at the weekend, with Dougie Brydon missing with a pelvic problem.
A win would move Berwick up the table and manager Ian Little is keen for that to happen.
He said: "This league is incredibly tight but we are better than second bottom. We have the chance to prove that by beating Montrose."
Montrose are looking to bounce back after a cup exit to Fraserburgh in their last outing, but they will need to do so without Alan Campbell who has an ankle injury.
Lloyd Young is also missing due to work commitments, with manager Stuart Garden saying: "The Fraserburgh game was disappointing as we had enough chances in the first half to win it.
"We didn't take them and paid a heavy price and we head to Berwick looking to get back on track.
"If we win this game we would go second in the table and that is another great reason for picking up the three points."
