Forfar completed the signing of Montrose pair Neil Stephen and Barry Donachie this evening. Neil has been signed up until the end of the season and Barry has signed a contract until the summer of 2009.
Donachie was the longest serving player at Links Park having signed in January 2003 from Brechin City. He also now joins a growing list of players who have competed for all the Angus clubs, having had a spell with Arbroath also. Having made 150 appearances plus 17 sub appearances for the club he found himself on the bench or in the stand most of this season.
Neil leaves the club for a second time having signed up from Peterhead in January 2007 after having moved there from Links Park in January 2006. In both spells at Montrose Neil made a total of 69 appearances and 2 sub appearances scoring six goals in the process, three of which came as a hat trick of headers against Stenhousemuir last season. As in Barry's case, chances in the first team were few and far between for Neil this season and both players move on with a wish of good luck at their new team.
At this point in time there is still no news of any signings coming into Links Park but as soon as there is any news it will be posted.
