Stranraer defender Romauld Bouadji and midfielder Steven Noble will remain on the sidelines through injury when Montrose visit on a high.Montrose player-manager Steven Tweed has ruled out seven players for the trip south - including himself - after last week's 8-1 win over Clyde.
Goalkeeper Sandy Wood is out along with defenders Fraser Milligan, Gordon Pope and Sean Fleming.
The midfield duo of Hugh Davidson and Gordon Pope are also on the sidelines.
Stranraer manager Keith Knox: "We are sitting level on points with the leaders Berwick, been unbeaten in the league so far and are at home, so some people will see us as the likely winners in this game.
"You cannot just turn up and expect to win anything and Montrose will be buoyant after their result last week.
"So we need to equal the performance we gave against Arbroath last Saturday.
"Hopefully, after scoring eight against Clyde last weekend, they have used up all their goals!"
Montrose player-manager Steven Tweed: "We will be travelling with confidence after our win and Stranraer will be confident after creating a club record of being unbeaten going into October.
"They need a result to create a record of eight opening league games undefeated and I will not be disappointed if they do not achieve it."
