Queen's Park kept up their promotion push with a deserved 2-0 win at Montrose.
The Hampden side were depleted in numbers thanks to numerous injuries but managed to take the lead in the 36th minute.
An outswinging corner from top scorer Martin McBride was met by a powerful Daryll Meggatt header into the top right corner giving Montrose keeper Ramiro Gonzalez no chance.
The Gable Endies almost went two behind when David Anderson met a cross just six yards out but he headed wide for the visitors.
But the killer second did arrive when David Murray fed Paul McGinn on the left side of the area and he crashed the ball into the far top corner.
