Craig O'Reilly's equaliser ensured that Montrose and Berwick shared a 1-1 draw for the second time this season.
In a change of roles from the first game back in October, it was the Gable Endies who took the lead when Paul Tosh netted from the penalty spot.
O'Reilly hit back for the visitors as Berwick brought their six-game losing streak to an end.
Steve Tweed was fouled inside the box by Jamie Ewart after 62 minutes and Tosh did not turn down the invitation to put his side ahead.
But O'Reilly latched onto John Grant's cross to draw Berwick level within seven minutes.
Tosh missed a glorious opportunity to secure all three points when he sliced wide from 12 yards in stoppage time.
